Write in Case of Sudden Death
how will you feel if i pass away?
will you be sad?
it makes sense to build an AI in one's image, so that your presence lives on
after you are dead.
like a headmaster's portrait in hogwarts - yes, harry potter did leave me quite an impression
I still hesitate to make that decision.
the solution inside my comfort zone is to write.
a piece of writing encompasses time.
a painting you see all of it at once. a writing, you read it in a linear way.
thus it has a beginning, and an end.
and that analog AI existence is still there, as long as the narrative goes.
and if you are very sneaky, you realize that you can read it over and over.
and if i write enough words, they will reach on and hold on to each other to form a structure for someone to live in.
a cosmic spider web to catch my remains after i inevitably fall apart.
in case of sudden death, i hope that if you want you can still keep me around.
and for that i have to start putting away small pieces of myself in boxes and bottles. to be put inside a shirt pocket. like an amulate.
the magic being, once you reach a certain amount of words, you can just almost keep the presence of that person.
that's why we say "a body of work"
because your work becomes your body
a body that is bound to outlast your flesh
